Oct. 17 workshop registration

Saturday, Oct. 17, 10-11:30 a.m. PDT (1-2:30 p.m. EDT)
Workshop: Exploring Astronomy Lessons and Programs
Audience: U.S. teachers for grades 6-12
Location: Online - Webex link will be provided to registered participants
Overview: In this interactive virtual workshop, we will highlight lessons focused on the electromagnetic spectrum as well as its role in astronomy and NASA space exploration. Education specialist Brandon Rodriguez from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory will be joined by high-school and college students, who will demonstrate lessons and activities that helped them become interested in STEM. We will also discuss educational opportunities for teachers and students to take part in NASA research and lesson development. Participation is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is required.
