NASA/JPL Educator Workshop – Putting the 'A' in STEAM

When: Saturday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California

Audience: Educators for grades K-8

Overview: Art – whether it's drawing, painting or other creative pursuits – has the power to inspire new ways of thinking about a topic. Adding art to STEM lessons is a great way to help students understand new concepts while they explore ways to communicate and share these concepts with others. In this workshop, we will highlight several activities that complement science and math lessons to get students thinking about STEM concepts in new and creative ways.

This free workshop is offered through the NASA/JPL Educator Resource Center, which provides formal and informal educators with NASA resources and materials that support STEM learning.
