Learn how we use robots to explore oceans near and far

Virtual Education Event – Robotic Oceanographers

When: Saturday, July 23, 10-10:45 a.m. PST (1-1:45 p.m. EST)

Where: Online (Zoom link will be provided to registered participants)

Target Audience: Teachers, parents, and informal educators

Overview: Hear from scientists exploring Earth's oceans and learn about how we use robotic explorers in the skies and in the seas to collect data on how our oceans are changing.

In this virtual event hosted by the JPL Education Office and Ocean Exploration Trust, you will:

  • Meet members of the research team aboard the Ocean Exploration Trust's Exploration Vessel Nautilus as they talk about their work exploring Earth's oceans with new research vehicles.
  • Learn how NASA tracks climate change and our ocean's health from space.
  • Watch live demonstrations of science activities from JPL Education.
  • Learn about connections between deep sea exploration and deep space exploration.

Registration required. Participation is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
